Ashley Turcotte has been missing for nearly a month, and authorities in Barnstead, New Hampshire still haven’t gotten very far in the search for her. There are very few updates in this case, but investigators have released still images taken from surveillance footage captured of the missing woman on the day she disappeared. They’re hoping that these images of the last known sighting of Turcotte could inspire new leads in the search for her. Meanwhile, the missing woman’s loved ones — and her community — are desperately hoping for the best outcome in this mysterious case.

What happened to Ashley Turcotte? The New Hampshire woman disappeared on January 4th, and her vehicle was found abandoned at the Barnstead City Hall with all of her essential belongings inside of it. CBS News Boston reports that the last verified sighting of Turcotte was at a Dollar General store in Barnstead on the day she disappeared.

While investigators continue searching for Ashley, thousands of people have taken to social media to assist. At least one Facebook group is dedicated entirely to the search for the missing woman, and conversations surrounding the search for her are posted very frequently.

With nearly a month past in the search for Ashley Turcotte, it’s hard to envision a positive ending for her case. So little information is available about her disappearance, that speculation is taking a front seat regarding online chatter. Many are debating on whether the missing woman voluntarily disappeared to escape some kind of bad situation, or if she was suffering from a mental health crisis. Others are speculating on the possibility that Turcotte was abducted on the day that she was last seen.

One thing is for certain: Ashley Turcotte is still missing. Hopefully authorities in Barnstead can figure out what happened to this beloved member of their community soon.
