A Las Vegas woman is behind bars after police say she assaulted a group of people near North Decatur and Vegas Drive last Thursday. In a series of violent acts, 41-year-old Sarah Sims reportedly went completely bonkers — and even used a writing pen as a potentially deadly weapon.

This news report reveals that Sarah Sims is accused of attacking a group of people and dowsing them with hand sanitizer before threatening to set them on fire. She also allegedly assaulted a woman among the group of people, holding a pen to her throat as though it were a knife.

When police arrived at the scene, they say the Las Vegas woman was on top of the victim, who isn’t being identified. Arresting documents claim that Sims threw the woman to the ground and said she was her hostage while holding the tip of the pen to her throat. When police arrested Sims, she reportedly became combative with officers.

At this time, the Las Vegas woman is charged with assault and battery as well as a list of other charges. She is being held on $20k bond. As for the alleged victims in this story, reports aren’t clarifying on whether or not they knew their attacker personally.
