Authorities in Moses Lake, Washington are looking for 30-year-old Yanira Cedillos after they say she disappeared while celebrating her birthday on Thursday night. It has now been over 24 hours since the woman was last seen, and her loved ones are becoming anxious. That’s because it’s possible that this young woman could be in danger.

According to media reports, Yanira Cedillos was out with friends and coworkers on Thursday night between 8:00 p.m. and Midnight. The circumstances surrounding how she disappeared are a little blurry, and according to authorities the story has changed more than once. First, one of the missing woman’s friends told police that she disappeared after going to the bathroom and failing to return. The story later changed with friends claiming that Yanira was seen leaving with her former boyfriend.

If the latter story is true, then Yanira Cedillos could be in danger. The missing woman reportedly has a restraining order against the man, named Juan Gastilum, who has been violent with her in the past. To make matters worse, her cellphone is reportedly shut off, and nobody has been able to reach her.

Yanira’s family says that she never showed up for work on Friday and didn’t call in to her employer, which is something she never does. Furthermore, when a welfare check was performed at her residence, no sign of Yanira Cedillos was found. Police officials have acknowledged that the urgency in this case has escalated, and detectives are now working on it. This implies that the missing woman may be held against her will, or worse.
