An Idaho woman is behind bars after police say she tried to rob a convenience store with a cigarette lighter. Forty-two-year-old Rainee Racehorse faces various charges associated with the incident, and could possibly face up to 20 years of imprisonment.

The Idaho State Journal reports that police were alerted to an attempted robbery on Sunday night at a Chevron in the town of Pocatello. Staff at the convenience store told authorities that Racehorse entered the premises and attempted to purchase a pack of cigarettes with a bunk debit card. Once the card was declined, the Idaho woman allegedly continued trying to use the card, which declined every time. After her attempts at using the card proved fully unsuccessful, staff told police that Racehorse then attempted to rob the store.

According to officials, the Idaho woman reportedly grabbed a Bic lighter from a display and flicked it in the cashier’s face and told them to give her money.

“You need to give me the money. This is a robbery,” Racehorse allegedly said.

The suspect then fled the Chevron, but was apprehended at a nearby gas station. Police found a lighter and stolen debit card on her during a search at the time of arrest. Police also say that Racehorse initially gave them a false name and other fabricated personal details, but eventually came clean about her identity. She has been charged with assault with the intent to commit a serious felony, providing false information to law enforcement, resisting arrest, criminal possession of a financial transaction card and other associated charges. She is currently being held on bond in the amount of $20k.
