The search for missing North Carolina woman Tracey Leigh Thompson has come to a sad end, after her body was reportedly discovered on New Year’s Day.
WSPA News reports that police responded to reports of a body found around the 100 Block of Kristins Place in the town of Bostic. Sadly, that body was later identified as the missing woman. It wasn’t difficult to make the identification, since the body was located not far at all from the home of the missing woman, and where she was reportedly last seen.
Tracey Leigh Thompson disappeared around Christmas Eve 2022, shortly after making disturbing posts to her Facebook account. The nefarious posting indicated that she was suffering from some kind of mental distress, but also directed blame to a former husband for “torturing” her.
Authorities are currently investigating the death of the once-missing woman, but they do not believe foul play is to blame.
