Scott Goldberg is accused of attacking his parents with a hammer in late 2023, but the 21-year-old California man has reportedly pleaded not guilty to charges associated with the allegations. Meanwhile, authorities in Thousand Oaks believe they have all the evidence they need to prove the alleged case of parenticide.

True Crime Daily reports that 21-year-old Scott Goldberg was arraigned shortly before Christmas following the November 2023 murder of his mother. He also pleaded not guilty in association with “special charges” that were added on to the case regarding the accusations.

During the late evening hours of November 19, 2023, Scott Goldberg allegedly entered his mother’s bedroom in their Ventura County, California home. The father of the accused killer told police that he heard his wife scream upstairs, and when he ran to see what was going on, his son attacked him with a hammer. The mother of the accused assailant was transported to hospital with severe injuries including multiple skull fractures and brain damage. She died on December 1st.

Scott Goldberg remains jailed in Ventura County without bail. While he denies his role in the death of his mother, his mugshot appears to tell a different story. Judging from the blood splatters on his head and face, Goldberg was definitely involved in some sort of violent altercation. If this young man truly did kill his mother, hopefully authorities are able to at least find out why he did it.
