An Arizona mom has been arrested after she allegedly assaulted her child’s science teacher while he was in the middle of teaching a class. This case is still developing, so there aren’t a lot of details, but what is known is that 46-year-old Angelica Munoz is on her way to becoming a felon due to the incident that recently took place.

Tuscon.Com reports that Angelica Munoz was arrested after she showed up at Da Vinci Tree Academy and began assaulting her child’s science teacher in front of students. The incident, which reportedly took place earlier this month, resulted in the male teacher experiencing several injuries including abrasions and bruises. At some point during the alleged assault, it took multiple teachers to attempt to separate the Arizona mom and the teacher. At one point, the Arizona mom allegedly picked up a chair and attempted to beat the teacher with it. A 13-year-old student tried to stop the attack and was hit with the chair, sustaining injuries to their arm.

Nobody seems to know why Angelica Munoz assaulted the science teacher at Da Vinci Tree Academy, which makes this case all the more bizarre. It doesn’t seem likely that there was no motive at all in the violent incident, though. Whatever the motive might be, if authorities in Tucson are aware of it, they’re not sharing it with the public at this time.

As for Munoz, the Arizona mom has been charged with aggravated assault on a school employee, aggravated assault on a minor and interfering with an educational institution. All three of these charges are felonies, which means she could be seeing some serious prison time if convicted — and she probably will be.
