A Florida child that went missing over the weekend has been found deceased — and the location where his body was discovered is suspicious to say the least. However, authorities are saying that this is a very tragic accident.

Jose Lara, a one-year-old Florida child, went missing over the weekend and sparked a panicked search that attracted media attention. According to The Independent, the child had disappeared while outside playing with another child. These details likely created fears of abduction, but the child was discovered right on the family’s property — inside of the septic tank.

People reports that police believe one-year-old Jose Lara accidentally fell through a piece of rotted plyboard that was laying over the septic tank on the family’s property. During the initial search for the boy nobody noticed the septic area because it was overgrown with weeds. A later search and decision to drain the septic tank led to the discovery of the Florida child’s body.
