Where is Madalina Cojocari? If the latest developments in her case are any indication, then authorities might want to start coming the state of Michigan for clues. It’s been revealed that the stepfather of the missing 11-year-old girl took a trip to Michigan on the day of her disappearance — shortly following the last time anyone saw her.

Inside Edition reports that the mother of the missing child withheld this critical information, which is just another example of her awful parenting throughout the course of this case. First, she refused to even report her own child missing, not acknowledging the disappearance until at December 15th. Madalina Cojocari had been missing for almost a month by that time. Now that authorities know that the missing child’s stepfather drove to Michigan on the day of her disappearance, there are new avenues to investigate in the search for her.

This case is an awful lot like the disappearance of Caylee Marie Anthony. Her mother, Casey Anthony, notoriously refused to report the child missing for at least a month while she carried on with her normal day to day life. It was because of Casey Anthony’s deplorable behavior and refusal to report her child missing, that numerous laws came to existence. It’s illegal to fail to report the disappearance of your child in most U.S. states now. That’s why the mother and stepfather of Madalina Cojocari have been arrested.

It’s been going on two months since anyone has seen or heard from this 11-year-old missing child, which makes it increasingly more difficult to see a happy outcome on the horizon. Hopefully, the longer the parents are jailed, the closer they’ll come to spilling the truth about what happened to her.
