An elderly woman is dead after a horrifying car-jacking ended in her arm being ripped from her body. The incident reportedly took place last week in New Orleans in front of several witnesses. Surveillance footage also exists of the incident — but the suspects in this case still haven’t been caught.

WKRG News reports that a group of teenage girls is believed to be responsible for this gruesome incident that took the life of a 73-year-old elderly woman. According to authorities, two of the girls out of the group attacked the woman while she was in her car and pushed her out of it. However, the senior citizen’s arm was trapped in her seatbelt during the incident. When the girl’s pushed her out of the vehicle, her arm was ripped completely from her body.

Instead of stopping to check on the woman they gravely injured, the two carjackers drove away, swerving past witnesses who tried to block them in and stop them. The 73-year-old woman, identified as Linda Frickey, was left to die in the middle of the New Orleans street with her arm detached from her body. Once police arrived, it was already too late.

The car belonging to the victim was later found but no signs of the carjackers have been found. It’s safe to say that the teenage girls are aware that they killed an elderly woman, but instead of doing the right thing they’re staying hidden. The NOPD have released stills from the security footage that captured the entire ordeal. They want the public to help them identify the girls seen in the video. If you recognize the girls (in the photo above) please do the right thing and contact the New Orleans Police Department.
