Casey Anthony is in the news again, because she obviously can’t stay out of the spotlight for longer than a couple of months. Even though countless people believe the Florida woman got away with the 2008 murder of her own child, she’s a free woman and she’s supposedly ready to “tell her truth.” But how can you trust anything that comes out of the mouth of a woman who is a convicted liar?

When Casey Anthony was acquitted of killing her daughter Caylee Marie Anthony, she didn’t escape justice unscathed. She was ultimately convicted of four counts of providing false information to law enforcement. These charges stemmed from the overall investigation into the disappearance and death of her daughter. Over the course of the search and investigation, Casey reportedly lied to detectives multiple times. How many things did “Tot Mom” lie about? Here’s a short list:

  • The Nanny: Casey made up a fake nanny story, telling detectives that a woman named Zenaida took her daughter and refused to give her back. She failed to report this disappearance for 30 days because — she lied — that she was trying to find her daughter herself.
  • The job: Casey lied about working for Universal Studios for some reason. She even took detectives directly to the building at US where she claimed to work. She got all the way into the place of business before she finally admitted to detectives that she was lying.
  • Covered up Caylee’s disappearance: Over the course of the month that she failed to report her daughter missing, Casey Anthony told several stories to cover up the fact that she was gone. She’d claim she was at Disney World or other places so she couldn’t speak to her grandparents. She was dead, actually.

Casey led detectives, her parents and the distraught public in circles while she knew her daughter was dead and disposed of in a field. She lied, lied and lied some more until she was ultimately accused of killing her own daughter. Mountains of evidence appeared to stand stacked against her, but apparently it just wasn’t enough. Since she’s been free from jail — and declared innocent in the death of Caylee Marie, Casey Anthony has remained mostly silent. However, she’s most recently been sighted on the set of a reality show. She’s also hinted to telling her story.

According to People Magazine, a documentary (which hasn’t been named) is going to feature Anthony in a tell-all interview. The article declares that Casey is going to “tell her truth” regarding the high profile disappearance of her daughter, and the associated murder trial that ended in her acquittal.

It’s hard to take reports like this seriously after Casey was convicted of lying to police during the search for Caylee Marie. Also considering the various stories that came up during the murder trial which provably illustrated that the Florida woman simply doesn’t know how to be honest.

What do you think? If Casey Anthony “tells her truth,” do you think it’ll be the factual version of what happened to her daughter? Or will this just be more of the same from someone who only knows how to lie?
