A man pretending to be a drummer for the bands Blink-182 and Bowling for Soup is accused of kidnapping and sexual assault on a 13-year-old girl in a bizarre Amber Alert incident that happened last year. Now, more details are surfacing about the incident, and they’re enough to make anyone scratch their heads.

According to 9 News Colorado, Bradford Eblen was arrested in late November after an Amber Alert was issued for a missing 13-year-old girl, who was identified at one point as Alexis Bradford of Westminster, Colorado. The Amber Alert issued for the missing child spanned at least a day, but quickly came to an end when the girl was located. The 45-year-old man accused of kidnapping her was found very shortly after.

On the day of the kidnapping, Eblen allegedly stole a vehicle from a gas station clerk, who reportedly told police that the man claimed to be a drummer for the band Blink-182. Of course anyone who knows anything knows that Travis Barker has been the only drummer for the band since the 1990s, long before they were a popular or “known” band. Reports say that Bradford Eblen picked up the 13-year-old victim in the stolen car at some point, convincing her that he was the drummer for the band Bowling for Soup.

Bradford Eblen has a long criminal history spanning across several states with crimes that range from dining-and-dashing to various other scams. At the time of the kidnapping and assault of the Colorado teenager, the perverted scam artist was on parole for another felony. He faces court in the next upcoming week associated with this Amber Alert case.
