Canadian Woman Goes on Killing Spree
A Canadian woman has been dubbed a “serial killer,” by police after going on a literal killing spree and taking the lives of three people in a span of three days. Sabrina Kauldhar has been arrested and charged in association with the killings, but now her story’s going viral as authorities stumble over vocabulary.
People reports that the 30-year-old Toronto woman killed a woman and two men in Toronto, Niagara and Hamilton over a span of three days. The first homicide reportedly occurred on October 1st, with the death of an elderly woman. Police say that the woman was found in her home with “visible trauma to her body. A day later, police discovered a man suffering from grave injuries at John Allan Park in Niagara Falls. The 47-year-old man died at the scene not long after he was discovered. A final victim was found on the following day in a parking lot with “significant injuries,” associated with stabbing. The 77-year-old man died in the hospital shortly after he was discovered.
Police in Canada are having a hard time finding the right term for this female killer. Niagara Regional Police Chief Bill Fordy referred to Sabrina Kauldhar as a serial killer because of her body count of more than two victims. However, this female killer falls more accurately under the label of “spree killer.” The difference between a spree killer and a serial killer is that a spree killer commits murders in numbers of two or more without a “cooldown period.” On the other hand, a serial killer often has cooldown periods between killings. The Canadian woman arrested for these three murders did not have a cooldown period. Instead, she committed a grisly murder every day over a span of three days with no apparent pattern.
Could there be more victims? Hopefully detectives in Canada can get to the bottom of why this woman went on a killing spree earlier this month — but also, hopefully they can figure out if there are any more victims.
