Las Vegas man Accused of Multiple Violent Rapes

  A Las Vegas man has been arrested in association with several violent rapes of local prostitutes, and authorities are seeking help in locating other possible victims. Police say 29-year-old Denver Baoec-Ascuncion was arrested earlier this month after multiple women came forward recounting recent incidents of kidnapping and sexual assault. 8 News Now reports that the 28-year-old Las Vegas man faces multiple counts , and there may be other victims. Two separate prostitutes between December 20th and January 7th reportedly told police that Ascuncion picked them up and forced them into sexual acts. Both alleged victims claimed that the Las Vegas man used a firearm to threaten them. Non-virtual sex work (i.e., physical prostitution) is a dangerous line of work, especially in large cities like Las Vegas -- where rates of non-virtual sex work have increased by 50% in recent years. Sarah Weber Nearly Starved Her Child to Death

 


Police have charged 28-year-old Sarah Weber on accusations that she was slowly starving her four-year-old child. The evidence against the North Carolina woman is damning, but the condition of her malnourished child should be enough to lock this woman away where she deserves to be.

People reports that 28-year-old Sarah Weber was arrested earlier this month after the child's doctor noticed that the child was terribly malnourished. According to the child's doctor, Weber hadn't given her four-year-old child solid food in around six months. 

An investigation into the possible child abuse found that the North Carolina mother had refused her child food for several months, and had also ignored the obvious signs of serious malnourishment -- including prolonged diarrhea. It's fortunate that she finally took the child to the doctor, so that someone could alert authorities to what was going on.

Kentucky woman Torilena May Fields has been arrested after police say she murdered her mother in a shocking and gruesome crime. Police say the 32-year-old not only shot and stabbed her 68-year-old mother, but she dismembered her and then tried to cook her body parts until they were charred. The Daily Mail reports that 32-year-old Torilena May Fields was arrested last week after a bizarre confrontation with authorities, who discovered a horrific scene at the home of her 68-year-old mother.
