The Las Vegas Cybertruck explosion suspect, identified as Matthew Alan Livelsverger, reportedly killed himself prior to detonating the rented vehicle. This information has come to light, along with several other details, after the explosion that took place in front of the Trump building on January 1st.
8 News Now reports that 37-year-old Matthew Alan Livelsberger rented the Cybertruck before apparently rigging it to explode. He then-parked the vehicle in front of the Trump motel in Las Vegas before shooting himself in the head, shortly before the vehicle exploded into flames in front of the building. Several people were injured during the New Year's Day explosion, but ultimately the suspect was the only death in association with the incident.
The gun used in the suspect's apparent suicide was located on the floorboard of the vehicle between his feet, further indicating that he shot himself in the head prior to the detonation of the Cybertruck.
