Three Florida men have been arrested and charged in association with a racist graffiti incident that took place in November of this year. Colby Retherfford, 21, Tristan Maddox, 19, and Collin Kuhn, 20, have already been released from jail on bond in the measly amount of only $250.
It's not surprising that three men with names like these have been arrested for doing something racist. What is upsetting, however, is that they haven't really been charged for the racist graffiti itself. Instead, Colby, Collin and Tristan have all been charged with trespassing on school grounds.
News of the racist graffiti went viral in November, when it was reported that a Black Lives Matter mural was vandalized at Milton High School in the town of Milton. It's been less than a month since the incident -- which was declared 'disturbing' by residents. It's fortunate that the identities of the men people responsible for the racist incident have been identified, and hopefully they learn a valuable lesson from this.
