A Las Vegas man is dead after a night of drunken nuisancery that included physical altercations and harassing random women. Now another local man is facing a murder charge in association with the incident.
8 News reports that 30-year-old Jeramy Burney was arrested earlier this month after it was concluded that he fatally punched a man named Paul Ramirez at a bus stop near Charleston Boulevard and Maryland Parkway.
The so-called victim, Ramirez, had been causing issues throughout the night. According to a security guard who spoke to a 911 dispatcher, the victim had been "an ongoing problem," that had gotten into at least one fight prior to the incident that ended with his death. Furthermore, the man had also been harassing women that night. He had been escorted out of at least one bar, and had been "acting aggressively" with other patrons of the establishment.
Ramirez was put in a headlock by security at another business after he was thrown out of the bar, because he was harassing at least two women, and had reportedly become aggressive. In other words, the Las Vegas man was on a drunken rampage on the night of his death -- which came from the blow of another man's fist; Someone who was undoubtedly fed up with his inappropriate, aggressive and unnecessary behavior.
Did Jeramy Burney intentionally kill Paul Ramirez, or was this an accidental death as a result of nothing more than a physical altercation? Whatever the answer to this question is, it's apparent that something was bound to happen to this man, who spent his night fighting and harassing women. It was only a matter of time before someone was going to knock him out. It's just unfortunate that Burney's punch was so powerful that it killed the guy. Oh well.
