Comedian and actor Jamie Foxx is under fire right now, with lots of buzzwords being flung in his direction. In particular, the funnyman is accused of being antisemitic, racist and misogynistic. Could he be next in-line to be "cancelled," by a scandal-thirsty public?
Radar Online reports that Jamie Foxx angered viewers of his recent Netflix comedy special, when he made some cutting remarks possibly aimed at ex-girlfriend Katie Holmes. In doing so, some viewers believe that he was actually targeting white people.
"Sisters, I'm here to tell you, I've been cured. I've been cured of everything, no more white girls. I'm serious, no more white girls. No more white girls. No more. No more white girls," Foxx said during the program.
Of course, most people believe that Jamie Foxx was talking about his former girlfriend Katie Holmes -- a white woman, but folks on social media appear to be divided on whether or not his comments were necessarily racist, or even misogynistic. Even if some white people were offended by the comedian's words, it's generally accepted knowledge that Black people and other POC can't be racist -- although they can definitely exhibit prejudice. The Jim Crow Museum explains this concept pretty well.
Anyway, this isn't the first time Jamie Foxx has been the target of controversy. A year ago he made a post on social media that outraged some people, who believed he was being antisemitic. He was compelled to apologize for the snafu.
