Las Vegas man Accused of Multiple Violent Rapes

  A Las Vegas man has been arrested in association with several violent rapes of local prostitutes, and authorities are seeking help in locating other possible victims. Police say 29-year-old Denver Baoec-Ascuncion was arrested earlier this month after multiple women came forward recounting recent incidents of kidnapping and sexual assault. 8 News Now reports that the 28-year-old Las Vegas man faces multiple counts , and there may be other victims. Two separate prostitutes between December 20th and January 7th reportedly told police that Ascuncion picked them up and forced them into sexual acts. Both alleged victims claimed that the Las Vegas man used a firearm to threaten them. Non-virtual sex work (i.e., physical prostitution) is a dangerous line of work, especially in large cities like Las Vegas -- where rates of non-virtual sex work have increased by 50% in recent years. Body of Missing Woman Found Stuffed in Suitcase in Homeless Encampment

The body of a missing woman who vanished a year ago has been found, and the discovery is going viral in media headlines. That’s because the woman’s body was found stuffed in a suitcase in a homeless encampment. Police say they found the body of 37-year-old Shanon Reeder after searching for her for nearly a year.

People reports that the body of Shannon Reeder was located in a homeless encampment on September 27th in the Seattle area. The body of the missing woman had been stuffed in a suitcase and hidden in a large pile of trash and debris. The horrifying discovery was made during cleanup efforts conducted by state workers in the area. Now a homicide investigation is underway, because it’s obvious that this missing woman didn’t put herself in a suitcase.

Shannon Reeder was reportedly living in the area of the homeless encampment where her remains were found, but reports aren’t clear on whether or not she was homeless herself. Authorities in Seattle are trying to figure out who had contact with her over the span of the year that she’s been missing. Hopefully they can find some answers soon, so that this once-missing woman’s loved ones can get the closure they deserve.

Kentucky woman Torilena May Fields has been arrested after police say she murdered her mother in a shocking and gruesome crime. Police say the 32-year-old not only shot and stabbed her 68-year-old mother, but she dismembered her and then tried to cook her body parts until they were charred.
