An Oregon man is accused of killing a man he’d never met all because he wanted to steal the victim’s dog. Roland Evans-Freke has been slapped with multiple charges associated with the incident, which took place on May 15th.
KEZI News reports that the 30-year-old Oregon man was at the Ashley Inn on Highway 101 when he encountered the victim. Police say that 69-year-old Bradley Cole came out of his motel room to walk his dog while Evans-Freke was outside smoking a cigarette. Security footage on the property reportedly showed the Oregon man attacking the 69-year-old victim without provocation, before taking his dog and leaving the scene. However, Evans-Freke reportedly returned and continued to assault the vitim after some time.
Police say that when they arrived at the scene of the incident, the assailant had to be tazed several times in order to be apprehended. Meanwhile, the victim in the assault was pronounced dead at the motel. Roland reportedly also admitted to police that he committed the violent crime because he wanted to steal the victim’s dog.
