Las Vegas man Accused of Multiple Violent Rapes

  A Las Vegas man has been arrested in association with several violent rapes of local prostitutes, and authorities are seeking help in locating other possible victims. Police say 29-year-old Denver Baoec-Ascuncion was arrested earlier this month after multiple women came forward recounting recent incidents of kidnapping and sexual assault. 8 News Now reports that the 28-year-old Las Vegas man faces multiple counts , and there may be other victims. Two separate prostitutes between December 20th and January 7th reportedly told police that Ascuncion picked them up and forced them into sexual acts. Both alleged victims claimed that the Las Vegas man used a firearm to threaten them. Non-virtual sex work (i.e., physical prostitution) is a dangerous line of work, especially in large cities like Las Vegas -- where rates of non-virtual sex work have increased by 50% in recent years. Where is Valeri Soto? Florida Woman is Missing

Have you seen this missing woman? Authorities in Pasco Co., Florida are looking for Valeri Soto, who hasn’t been in contact with her loved ones since the morning of Sept. 16th.

According to a press release by the Pasco Co. Sheriff’s Office, Valeri Soto was last seen on Saturday morning at around 11:00 a.m., around the area of Castleview Way in Wesley Chapel. The missing Florida woman still hasn’t been located, and her loved ones are expressing concern.

Kentucky woman Torilena May Fields has been arrested after police say she murdered her mother in a shocking and gruesome crime. Police say the 32-year-old not only shot and stabbed her 68-year-old mother, but she dismembered her and then tried to cook her body parts until they were charred. The Daily Mail reports that 32-year-old Torilena May Fields was arrested last week after a bizarre confrontation with authorities, who discovered a horrific scene at the home of her 68-year-old mother.
