Las Vegas man Accused of Multiple Violent Rapes

  A Las Vegas man has been arrested in association with several violent rapes of local prostitutes, and authorities are seeking help in locating other possible victims. Police say 29-year-old Denver Baoec-Ascuncion was arrested earlier this month after multiple women came forward recounting recent incidents of kidnapping and sexual assault. 8 News Now reports that the 28-year-old Las Vegas man faces multiple counts , and there may be other victims. Two separate prostitutes between December 20th and January 7th reportedly told police that Ascuncion picked them up and forced them into sexual acts. Both alleged victims claimed that the Las Vegas man used a firearm to threaten them. Non-virtual sex work (i.e., physical prostitution) is a dangerous line of work, especially in large cities like Las Vegas -- where rates of non-virtual sex work have increased by 50% in recent years. Utah Child Missing: What Happened to Santa Gloria Olvera?

Police in Utah are looking for a missing child, while her loved ones are worried that the worst might have happened. Santa Gloria Olvera was last seen on Monday afternoon while walking home from school. However, she never arrived home, and has now been missing for several days.

KSL News reports that 12-year-old Santa Gloria Olvera vanished on Monday afternoon whilst walking home from school. The Salt Lake City child hasn’t been in contact with her loved ones since she was last seen, which is making them worry that something awful might have happened to her.

Doorbell video footage gathered in the current investigation appears to show the missing 12-year-old Utah girl shortly before she vanished without a trace. Other than that, there doesn’t appear to be any evidence leading to a resolution in this case. Her loved ones are at their wits end while the search for Santa Gloria Olvera continues. Meanwhile, the mainstream media is doing what it can to signal boost the case. This is a missing child in Salt Lake City, and hopefully the community pulls together to help find her — or at least find out what happened to her.

Kentucky woman Torilena May Fields has been arrested after police say she murdered her mother in a shocking and gruesome crime. Police say the 32-year-old not only shot and stabbed her 68-year-old mother, but she dismembered her and then tried to cook her body parts until they were charred. The Daily Mail reports that 32-year-old Torilena May Fields was arrested last week after a bizarre confrontation with authorities, who discovered a horrific scene at the home of her 68-year-old mother.
