Wife of Accused Long Island Serial Killer Files for Divorce

The man accused of being the Long Island Serial Killer has been in police custody for several days now, but karma just keeps visiting him. Now it’s being reported that the wife of the man accused of dumping the bodies of sex workers along Gilgo Beach is filing for divorce. NBC News reports that Rex Heuermann’s wife has filed for divorce on the heels of his high profile arrest. This comes after previous reports that the woman — along with the rest of the accused killer’s family — was humiliated by the publicity surrounding his arrest, and the crimes he is accused of committing. It’s not uncommon for the spouses of serial killers to file for divorce after their partners are exposed, especially when dealing with innocent family members who are just as shocked as the public is. Hopefully the soon-to-be former wife of the accused Long Island Serial Killer can move on to a better chapter in her life.
