Las Vegas man Accused of Multiple Violent Rapes

  A Las Vegas man has been arrested in association with several violent rapes of local prostitutes, and authorities are seeking help in locating other possible victims. Police say 29-year-old Denver Baoec-Ascuncion was arrested earlier this month after multiple women came forward recounting recent incidents of kidnapping and sexual assault. 8 News Now reports that the 28-year-old Las Vegas man faces multiple counts , and there may be other victims. Two separate prostitutes between December 20th and January 7th reportedly told police that Ascuncion picked them up and forced them into sexual acts. Both alleged victims claimed that the Las Vegas man used a firearm to threaten them. Non-virtual sex work (i.e., physical prostitution) is a dangerous line of work, especially in large cities like Las Vegas -- where rates of non-virtual sex work have increased by 50% in recent years. What Happened to Madeline Pantoja?

Have you seen this missing woman? Madeline Pantoja vanished just over a week ago from the area of Midland, Texas — and now authorities are offering a reward in hopes of finding out what happened to her. The 20-year-old missing Texas woman vanished after a night out with friends. The circumstances of this developing case are disturbing, and indicate that the missing woman might be the victim of foul play.

According to Your Basin News, Madeline Pantoja disappeared sometime between the night of May 10th and the morning of May 11th. She was reportedly last seen by friends on the night of May 10th, and had returned to her apartment at approximately 11:00 p.m., that night. However, by the following day nobody could get in touch with her.

A friend of the missing woman says that she had plans to hang out with her on May 11th, but when she arrived at her apartment that day she could find no signs of her. The car belonging to Madeline Pantoja was located at her apartment complex, and so was her cellphone. Nobody knows what happened to her between the hours of 11:00 p.m., May 10th, and the following day.

Authorities in Midland, Texas have issued a reward leading to information regarding Madeline’s disappearance. The reward amount is currently set at $20k. As for the details of the investigation into the woman’s disappearance, there isn’t much information. Authorities have acknowledged, however, that they don’t believe there is any kind of threat on the public. This implies that they believe Madeline’s disappearance was either not foul play, or an isolated incident. With such little information to work on, it’s impossible to say. One thing is for certain, though and that’s that Madeline Pantoja is still missing and her disappearance is edging into week two.

Kentucky woman Torilena May Fields has been arrested after police say she murdered her mother in a shocking and gruesome crime. Police say the 32-year-old not only shot and stabbed her 68-year-old mother, but she dismembered her and then tried to cook her body parts until they were charred.
