Las Vegas man Accused of Multiple Violent Rapes

  A Las Vegas man has been arrested in association with several violent rapes of local prostitutes, and authorities are seeking help in locating other possible victims. Police say 29-year-old Denver Baoec-Ascuncion was arrested earlier this month after multiple women came forward recounting recent incidents of kidnapping and sexual assault. 8 News Now reports that the 28-year-old Las Vegas man faces multiple counts , and there may be other victims. Two separate prostitutes between December 20th and January 7th reportedly told police that Ascuncion picked them up and forced them into sexual acts. Both alleged victims claimed that the Las Vegas man used a firearm to threaten them. Non-virtual sex work (i.e., physical prostitution) is a dangerous line of work, especially in large cities like Las Vegas -- where rates of non-virtual sex work have increased by 50% in recent years. Who Killed Alana Sims? Florida Woman Found Slain in Tampa

The body of Alana Sims was found on the ground outside her parked vehicle and now her case is attracting attention due to the strange circumstances. Those circumstances include the fact that a child was found unharmed at the scene, which has authorities believing that the Florida woman was murdered by someone known to her.

True Crime Daily reports that 22-year-old Alana Sims was found dead on the ground in a residential area, near her parked car. Her cause of death hasn’t been reported, but authorities noted that she had a great deal of upper body trauma. Her toddler son was left unharmed inside the parked car, but it’s likely that the child witnessed the murder of his own mother.

To make the case more disturbing: Alana Sims was five-months-pregnant at the time of her death.

Now an investigation is underway, while the family of the slain Florida woman mourns. Her mother Shahlevi Sims expressed to reporters that her daughter was a devoted mother who “no longer clubbed or went out to bars.” The grieving mother is bewildered at the murder of her adult child.

Hopefully detectives can get to the bottom of this horrifying case sooner than later, especially since this woman’s unborn child was murdered as well. Whoever did this to her is dangerous, whether or not detectives believe the case is isolated. Someone who is willing to kill a pregnant woman is not someone you want walking the streets.

Kentucky woman Torilena May Fields has been arrested after police say she murdered her mother in a shocking and gruesome crime. Police say the 32-year-old not only shot and stabbed her 68-year-old mother, but she dismembered her and then tried to cook her body parts until they were charred. The Daily Mail reports that 32-year-old Torilena May Fields was arrested last week after a bizarre confrontation with authorities, who discovered a horrific scene at the home of her 68-year-old mother.
