Las Vegas man Accused of Multiple Violent Rapes

  A Las Vegas man has been arrested in association with several violent rapes of local prostitutes, and authorities are seeking help in locating other possible victims. Police say 29-year-old Denver Baoec-Ascuncion was arrested earlier this month after multiple women came forward recounting recent incidents of kidnapping and sexual assault. 8 News Now reports that the 28-year-old Las Vegas man faces multiple counts , and there may be other victims. Two separate prostitutes between December 20th and January 7th reportedly told police that Ascuncion picked them up and forced them into sexual acts. Both alleged victims claimed that the Las Vegas man used a firearm to threaten them. Non-virtual sex work (i.e., physical prostitution) is a dangerous line of work, especially in large cities like Las Vegas -- where rates of non-virtual sex work have increased by 50% in recent years. What Happened to Alison Thia Thomas? NC Woman Missing Since Before Valentine's Day

Have you seen this missing woman? Authorities are looking for Alison Thia Thomas, a 37-year-old North Carolina woman who hasn’t been in contact with her loved ones since before Valentine’s Day. There are multiple sources covering this case as fears grow that the missing Union County woman might be in danger, and not missing under her own free will. Was Alison Thomas kidnapped?

The last time anyone has seen or heard from Alison Thias Thomas was around February 13th, when she was reportedly in a residence near Hwy 742 in Marshville, North Carolina. Her loved ones are now worried that something might have happened to her. Her family members say the area where she was last seen is quite rural, with a lot of acreage of trees and chicken houses. It’s also being described as rough terrain, making it hard to see the woman traversing the region on foot if she’d left the house where she was last seen. According to the WSOC TV News, Alison Thia Thomas was in possession of a cellphone, which was turned off around the time she was last seen. The missing woman’s brother has told reporters that she’d do anything to keep her cellphone on and charged. In other words, it’s out of her character to go missing, and it’s especially out of character for her to cut off her phone.

The circumstances of this disappearance are thin, but they certainly do make way for suspicion. Hopefully detectives have interviewed everyone in the home where Alison Thia Thomas was last seen, and getting to the bottom of the circumstances surrounding her last known contact with loved ones. If she is not missing voluntarily, then every day that goes by that she isn’t found will only make it more difficult to find a positive outcome.

Kentucky woman Torilena May Fields has been arrested after police say she murdered her mother in a shocking and gruesome crime. Police say the 32-year-old not only shot and stabbed her 68-year-old mother, but she dismembered her and then tried to cook her body parts until they were charred. The Daily Mail reports that 32-year-old Torilena May Fields was arrested last week after a bizarre confrontation with authorities, who discovered a horrific scene at the home of her 68-year-old mother.
