Another post is going viral on Reddit's AITA, and this time people are a little are divided on whether or not the author of the post is in the wrong. One thing has been gathered from the story, however, and that's that OP's wife was a cheater who is now sitting with the consequences of her actions. The author of the post shared with Reddit users that he's been married to his wife for six years, sharing a five-year-old son between the two of them. However, he'd just learned two weeks ago that he isn't the actual father of the five-year-old boy. He had suspicions, and after secretly getting a paternity test, he found out that his suspicions were true, which meant that his wife indeed cheated on him a year into their marriage. As someone who has been writing about true crime and criminal justice for years, I’ve seen the many flaws of our justice system up close. From wrongful convictions to excessive sentencing, there are many ways in which our system fails those it’s supposed to protect.

One of the biggest issues with our criminal justice system is its reliance on punishment rather than rehabilitation. Too often, individuals who have committed crimes are thrown into prison without any real attempt to address the underlying issues that led to their behavior in the first place. This approach not only fails to address the root causes of criminal behavior, but it also perpetuates a cycle of recidivism.

Another issue with our criminal justice system is the racial and socioeconomic disparities that exist within it. Studies have shown that individuals from marginalized communities are more likely to be arrested, charged, and sentenced to harsher penalties than their white, middle-class counterparts.

It’s clear that our criminal justice system is in need of major reform. We need to shift our focus from punishment to rehabilitation and work towards creating a system that is fair and just for all. Only then can we truly achieve justice for victims and offenders alike.

A Florida girl admits to killing her elderly grandmother by using the woman’s own walker and a belt in a gruesome murder that she’s shrugging off as a so-called “mercy killing.” Fourteen-year-old Sofia Koval has been charged with manslaughter in association with the killing, which took place back in May.
