Reina Morales Rojas disappeared three months ago, and now the Latino community in Boston is demanding action. Why haven’t authorities pushed for public awareness of this disappearance, and what is it going to take to find her? With three months gone since anyone has seen or heard from the missing woman, it’s hard to see a positive outcome in her case.
When Reina Morales Rojas vanished in November, she was last seen getting into a car heading toward the town of Somerville. It’s unknown if she ever reached her destination, because she has not had contact with any of her friends or family members ever since. Over the past 90 days that Reina has been missing, her loved ones have demanded answers — and the Latino community is rallying behind them as they call-out police inaction, and the lack of updates in the search for the missing woman.
Like many cases of missing women of color, the disappearance of Reina Morales Rojas has apparently slipped through the cracks, with very little media coverage and almost nonexistent police attention. This story is all-too-common, unfortunately. Hopefully the demands for answers by numerous people will light a proverbial fire under the police who need to get to the bottom of this.
If you know anything about this case, please do the right thing and call the police in Boston.
