Las Vegas man Accused of Multiple Violent Rapes

  A Las Vegas man has been arrested in association with several violent rapes of local prostitutes, and authorities are seeking help in locating other possible victims. Police say 29-year-old Denver Baoec-Ascuncion was arrested earlier this month after multiple women came forward recounting recent incidents of kidnapping and sexual assault. 8 News Now reports that the 28-year-old Las Vegas man faces multiple counts , and there may be other victims. Two separate prostitutes between December 20th and January 7th reportedly told police that Ascuncion picked them up and forced them into sexual acts. Both alleged victims claimed that the Las Vegas man used a firearm to threaten them. Non-virtual sex work (i.e., physical prostitution) is a dangerous line of work, especially in large cities like Las Vegas -- where rates of non-virtual sex work have increased by 50% in recent years. Melissa Lee Conklin Disappeared With Unknown Man: What Happened to Her?

A missing New York woman’s family is seeking answers after she disappeared around five months ago, and the circumstances of her disappearance are suspicious to say the least. Melissa Lee Conklin hasn’t been in contact with her loved ones since August of 2022, after she was last seen heading to the state of California with an unidentified man.

Newsbreak reports that Melissa Lee Conklin’s phone has also been shut off since she disappeared sometime in August 2022. Her loved ones say that they’ve even tried contacting her on Facebook, but their messages get left on read with no response. They have a hard time believing that their loved one would do this to them voluntarily, so they are worried that something bad has happened to her. That’s an understandable suspicion, since she disappeared with an unknown man. Nothing is known about this person, such as how Conklin was acquainted with him, and — of course — his intentions.

There aren’t many other details available in the disappearance of Melissa Lee Conklin, which in and of itself is a disturbing element to the case. It has been five months since anyone has seen or heard from her, and her lack of activity is troubling. Someone, however, does have access to her Facebook account. Could Melissa have gone “no contact” with her loved ones on purpose, or is someone manipulating her account while she remains missing?

Melissa Conklin is described as a white female standing at around 5 feet tall and 100 lbs. She has blue eyes, red hair and at least one tattoo — a mother and child design on her left shoulder. Kentucky woman Torilena May Fields has been arrested after police say she murdered her mother in a shocking and gruesome crime. Police say the 32-year-old not only shot and stabbed her 68-year-old mother, but she dismembered her and then tried to cook her body parts until they were charred. The Daily Mail reports that 32-year-old Torilena May Fields was arrested last week after a bizarre confrontation with authorities, who discovered a horrific scene at the home of her 68-year-old mother.
