Las Vegas man Accused of Multiple Violent Rapes

  A Las Vegas man has been arrested in association with several violent rapes of local prostitutes, and authorities are seeking help in locating other possible victims. Police say 29-year-old Denver Baoec-Ascuncion was arrested earlier this month after multiple women came forward recounting recent incidents of kidnapping and sexual assault. 8 News Now reports that the 28-year-old Las Vegas man faces multiple counts , and there may be other victims. Two separate prostitutes between December 20th and January 7th reportedly told police that Ascuncion picked them up and forced them into sexual acts. Both alleged victims claimed that the Las Vegas man used a firearm to threaten them. Non-virtual sex work (i.e., physical prostitution) is a dangerous line of work, especially in large cities like Las Vegas -- where rates of non-virtual sex work have increased by 50% in recent years. Gretchen Fleming Remains Missing While Police Lack Updates in Her Case

Gretchen Fleming has been missing now for going on two months, and there are no new updates in the search for her. This is troubling, because the longer this case goes without updates, the more likely it is that it will become a cold case. Meanwhile, authorities actually have a person of interest, but they’re not discussing whether or not they’ve uncovered any definitive evidence against the man.

Over the course of the past several weeks, authorities have searched the home of their POI, Preston Pierce, more than once. They’ve also searched for an unidentified black vehicle, which they believe might be involved with the disappearance of Gretchen Fleming. Still, the missing woman hasn’t been found and there has been no movement in her case in at least a week.

Kentucky woman Torilena May Fields has been arrested after police say she murdered her mother in a shocking and gruesome crime. Police say the 32-year-old not only shot and stabbed her 68-year-old mother, but she dismembered her and then tried to cook her body parts until they were charred. The Daily Mail reports that 32-year-old Torilena May Fields was arrested last week after a bizarre confrontation with authorities, who discovered a horrific scene at the home of her 68-year-old mother.
