The search for a missing Texas woman is over, but not without a whole lot of drama. In fact, a CLEAR alert issued for the woman led to a high speed chase for several miles before an arrest was made. Fortunately, the missing woman has been located safely — but there are a lot of questions being asked about the circumstances of her disappearance and harrowing rescue.
WFAA News reports that a CLEAR Alert was issued on Friday for 20-year-old Prysscilla Babauta, who had last been seen earlier in the morning in the town of Denton. She was reportedly last seen in a 2021 Toyota Camry, which was ultimately spotted by officers around Fort Worth. The vehicle, driven by 21-year-old Ramell Hawkins Jr., refused to pull over when officers attempted to stop him. This resulted in a car chase that involved several police officers.
Fortunately, the chase ended with the arrest of the 21-year-old driver. 20-year-old missing Texas woman Prysscilla Babauta was located safely, but taken to the hospital for treatment. The circumstances surrounding any possible injuries haven’t been revealed by authorities, but media sources have been asking for clarification about the victim in Friday’s incident.
