What happened to this missing woman? Cieha Annette Taylor vanished over two years ago from Plant City, Florida in a case that is surrounded by suspicion. Over the course of her disappearance, media attention has dwindled, which has put the responsibility of keeping public awareness of her case on her loved ones. Her friends and family continue to push for answers in this case, but will they ever get to the bottom of things when it seems like police just aren’t doing enough?
The last time anyone saw or heard from the missing Florida woman, she was with her boyfriend. She reportedly dropped him off at his residence at around 4:00 in the afternoon on February 6, 2020. From that moment, it is unknown as to what happened to her. By around 7:00 p.m. that night, Cieha’s car was found abandoned — still running — about a mile from her boyfriend’s home. All of her belongings were found in the car, which would eliminate any motive such as robbery in her unsolved disappearance. Among her abandoned belongings was her cellphone, which contained texts to her boyfriend indicating that there was trouble between them. Her final text to her boyfriend read as follows:
“So you are going to send your white supremacist friends to take care of me?”
Reports have shared that the boyfriend of Cieha Annette Taylor is some kind of crazed white supremacist who follows bizarre conspiracy theory interests. Cieha is biracial (black/white), so this is a concerning bit of information. What’s more concerning is that this boyfriend has never been declared a person of interest or a suspect in Cieha’s disappearance.
Authorities in Florida have treated this disappearance poorly from the beginning. When the car belonging to Cieha Taylor was first found, it was simply moved to the side of the road and no other action was taken for multiple days. The authorities discovered this car, still running, with this woman’s belongings left behind — but they chose to park it and ignore it for at least three days. It wasn’t until the 10th of February, 2020, that an investigation was open into the disappearance of Cieha Annette Taylor.
Now it’s been over two years, and authorities have yet to address whether or not they have a suspect in her disappearance. It’s clear to the people who are familiar with this case who the suspect should be, but judging from how this case was handled from the beginning, it’s no surprise to see no a lack of action.
Cieha Taylor’s case deserves more than it has gotten over the course of two years, and her loved ones deserve to have support from the public. Please do what you can and share word of her disappearance, and demand that authorities in Plant City, Florida do more to locate this missing woman.
