Las Vegas man Accused of Multiple Violent Rapes

  A Las Vegas man has been arrested in association with several violent rapes of local prostitutes, and authorities are seeking help in locating other possible victims. Police say 29-year-old Denver Baoec-Ascuncion was arrested earlier this month after multiple women came forward recounting recent incidents of kidnapping and sexual assault. 8 News Now reports that the 28-year-old Las Vegas man faces multiple counts , and there may be other victims. Two separate prostitutes between December 20th and January 7th reportedly told police that Ascuncion picked them up and forced them into sexual acts. Both alleged victims claimed that the Las Vegas man used a firearm to threaten them. Non-virtual sex work (i.e., physical prostitution) is a dangerous line of work, especially in large cities like Las Vegas -- where rates of non-virtual sex work have increased by 50% in recent years. Ella Goodie is Still Missing After Nearly Three Months

What happened to Ella Goodie? The Louisiana woman vanished nearly three months ago in a case that attracted immediate national attention. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance are disturbing, leading authorities to believe they are investigating a potential homicide. Nonetheless, no body has been located and the missing woman’s loved ones are holding on to hope that she’s still alive.

According to The Daily Advertiser, a candlelight vigil was held in honor of Ella Goodie by her friends and loved ones. The event, which took place on Friday night, was held to symbolically light the way for the missing woman to return home to her loved ones. While the family of the missing Louisiana woman hold onto hope, authorities have expressed the concern that Ella Goodie was murdered.

This is a truly messy case, that has potentially spanned across several states. When Ella Goodie was last seen, she was reportedly working as a Lyft driver and taking a passenger to Texas. That passenger was Brandon Francisco, a man with a spotty criminal past that includes charges of attempted murder. He was the last person to see the missing Louisiana woman, and detectives are more than just a little suspicious of his potential involvement with the disappearance of Goodie. He has since been arrested and is being held in jail on various charges. However, when it comes to the investigation into Goodie’s whereabouts, he is not being cooperative.

Police believe Ella Goodie was murdered by the man shortly after she was last seen, but without her body and without him being cooperative, it’s hard to see what the future holds. It’s also going on three months since she was last seen, and the longer time goes by the more difficult it will be to find her.

Kentucky woman Torilena May Fields has been arrested after police say she murdered her mother in a shocking and gruesome crime. Police say the 32-year-old not only shot and stabbed her 68-year-old mother, but she dismembered her and then tried to cook her body parts until they were charred.
