The search for missing Texas woman Angela Mitchell has come to a tragic end, with the discovery of her body in a very suspicious location. The body of the missing woman was reportedly found stuffed into the trunk of her own car ā which witnesses say had been parked in the location it was searched since at least Mothers Day. Now that the search is over, there are numerous new questions mounting in the case, while the loved ones of the once-missing Texas woman criticize authorities for not working fast enough to search for her.
When Angela Mitchell was reported missing on May 6th, her loved ones hadnāt seen her for approximately 24 hours. Fox News reports that the mother of the missing Texas woman was immediately fearful that something horrible had happened to her. Her family was unable to track her phone location anymore, and it was as if sheād simply vanished into thin air. Eventually, Angelaās family found her abandoned vehicle, which was locked on the side of the road near where she was last known to be. Her mother begged detectives to search the car during this time, but evidently her pleas fell on deaf ears.
Itās now been over two weeks, and the only reason why the car was checked was because passerby reported that a bad stench was coming from it. That stench, come to find out, was the decomposing body of Angela Mitchell. Itās disturbing to consider that the mother of the missing Texas woman stood just inches from her own daughterās body without even knowing it, and itās infuriating to learn that police could have searched the vehicle the entire time ā but chose not to do so.
According to New York Daily News, police have not released whether or not there is a suspect in the death of Angela Mitchell. They also havenāt acknowledged whether or not this was a homicide. Itās hard to tell if the investigators on this case are keeping the details on the down low to protect the case, or if theyāre simply ignoring it like they did when Angela went missing in the first place.
