A woman is in jail after authorities say she killed her own sister over a fight about money. According to this Teaneck, New Jersey Patch article, Angielly Dominguez was arrested last week after shooting her sister to death in her Little Ferry home. The Florida woman was charged with first degree murder after leaving her sister’s home. At the time of the arrest there weren’t a lot of details — but now, some new details have made their way to the public.
The teenage brother of Angielly Dominguez says that he was in the home when the shooting took place — and he is the one who reported the incident to police. He told authorities that while he was in another room he could hear both Angielly and their sister Omelly Dominguez arguing loudly. He believed they were arguing with money, but the specifics of this claim haven’t been fully clarified at this time.
The teenager heard a loud pop that sounded like a gunshot. When he emerged to see what had happened, he claims that Angielly stood over their sister’s body staring at him. She then left the home.
According to the fiance of the accused killer, he tried to stop the crime from happening — but the police wouldn’t help him. Tony Miranda says that when Angielly stole his guns and left their Florida home prior to the shooting, he knew that something bad was going to happen. He did what he thought he’d never have to do as a woman’s fiance, and he called the police. According to Law and Crime, the police didn’t appear to take his concerns seriously. They told him that it wasn’t theft since they were living together, and that she’d probably come back home. By this time, the accused murderer was already in South Carolina on her way to New Jersey.
Angielly Dominguez hasn’t spoken on her actual motive at this time, but she is being held in Bergen County jail for the time being. If she’s convicted of the first degree murder charge, she could spend the next 30 years of her life in prison.
