The search for Naomi Irion is officially over — but on a heartbreaking note that has confirmed her loved ones’ worst fears. In a press release posted by the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office, authorities have revealed that the body of the missing Nevada woman was located in a makeshift gravesite in a remote part of the county.
The Facebook post, which can be read here, doesn’t share much information about the heartbreaking discovery. However, they revealed that authorities were working on a tip that was called in to them about the potential gravesite. The gravesite, come to find out, contained the body of Naomi Irion.
The release noted the identity of the body as Naomi Irion, but shared no other information regarding a possible cause of death. This sad update in the search for the missing Nevada woman comes on the heels of the arrest of the man who allegedly kidnapped her. Troy Driver, a Fallon resident, is accused of kidnapping Naomi Irion from a Walmart parking lot in Fernley, Nevada just over two weeks ago.
