Las Vegas man Accused of Multiple Violent Rapes

  A Las Vegas man has been arrested in association with several violent rapes of local prostitutes, and authorities are seeking help in locating other possible victims. Police say 29-year-old Denver Baoec-Ascuncion was arrested earlier this month after multiple women came forward recounting recent incidents of kidnapping and sexual assault. 8 News Now reports that the 28-year-old Las Vegas man faces multiple counts , and there may be other victims. Two separate prostitutes between December 20th and January 7th reportedly told police that Ascuncion picked them up and forced them into sexual acts. Both alleged victims claimed that the Las Vegas man used a firearm to threaten them. Non-virtual sex work (i.e., physical prostitution) is a dangerous line of work, especially in large cities like Las Vegas -- where rates of non-virtual sex work have increased by 50% in recent years. Body of Missing Missouri Woman Found

The search for missing Missouri woman Angie Rice is over on a tragic note with the discovery of her body. Authorities in Boone County say that the body was located in the Rocky Fork Conservation area, after someone made a call to them about seeing a woman’s body in the area.

This news comes three months after Angie Rice vanished, and after her car was found abandoned not very far from where her body has just been discovered. At this time, police are investigating the circumstances of Angie’s death, but they haven’t stated whether or not they believe her death is suspicious. According to this media report, an autopsy is pending to get to the bottom of how Angie died.

Was this missing Missouri woman the victim of foul play? The circumstances surrounding her disappearance are still unclear after three months of searching. All that is known publicly at this point is that the 45-year-old woman disappeared and then turned up dead in a conservation area in Boone County, Missouri. Hopefully more information can come to light soon.

Kentucky woman Torilena May Fields has been arrested after police say she murdered her mother in a shocking and gruesome crime. Police say the 32-year-old not only shot and stabbed her 68-year-old mother, but she dismembered her and then tried to cook her body parts until they were charred.
